Arizona Museum of Natural History: A Must See Museum in Arizona

Are you looking for a must see museum in Arizona? A few years ago, a friend of mine posted on Facebook that she took her to son to the Arizona Museum of Natural History. It’s located in Mesa, Arizona, and it looked and sounded like a fun place to take my son as well. It’s especially a nice place to visit during the summer months since it’s so hot outside.

I initially thought the museum was about only about dinosaurs. However, I was pleasantly surprised to find out that there were other things there as well, like panning for gold.

So during one of our weekend trips to Phoenix last year, we decided to stop by for a visit. If I had to list five of my son’s favorite things, dinosaurs would be high on that list. The kid loves them.

The Arizona Museum of Natural History is a must see museum in Arizona, especially for children.

We were not disappointed. The museum was fantastic. There were several dinosaurs on display, including animatronic dinosaurs, like the imposing T. Rex.

If you go, make sure you catch the animatronic show. It’s timed throughout the day, and is pretty cool to watch.

Panning for gold was also a favorite. My son enjoyed this as well.

If we lived closer, we’d probably go to the museum on a regular basis. But it was definitely a fun - and educational - day trip for us.
