Everything You Need to Know About Pixar Fest and Pixar Pier
What is Pixar Fest?
Pixar Fest is a celebration of friendship and beyond currently happening at the Disneyland Resort. From now until September 3rd, you can experience all of your favorite Pixar pals like never before. You’ll be able to enjoy Pixar-themed décor, savory and sweet treats, limited-time merchandise, and jaw-dropping entertainment.
Fan favorite parades like the Paint The Night Parade and Pixar Play Parade have made a comeback for the celebration. At Disneyland Park, you’ll be able to see the Pixar Play Parade come down Main Street, U.S.A. You can enjoy appearances from some of your favorite characters from movies like Monsters Inc., The Incredibles, Finding Nemo and Toy Story and new floats celebrating UP and Inside Out. The Pixar Play Parade will have nightly showings at 6:30 p.m. until September 3rd.
Paint The Night Parade has made its way to Disney California Adventure and I couldn’t be more excited. Every evening, you’ll be able to see mesmerizing floats light up Hollywood Boulevard that feature favorite Disney characters. You’ll be able to see characters from Cars, Monsters Inc., The Little Mermaid, Toy Story, Tangled and more! With millions of LED lights and catchy tunes, this is a parade you won’t want to miss.
Paint the Night Parade is back for Pixar Fest!
Last, but certainly not least, you’ll want to end your night by watching “Together Forever – A Pixar Nighttime Spectacular.” This new nighttime show celebrates friendship and beyond with all of your favorite Pixar pals. You’ll be able to be immersed in projections, fireworks and catchy music in this “Incredible” show. As a tip, you’ll want to watch this show from Main Street, U.S.A to get the best viewing experience. However, Rivers of America and “it’s a small world” will also provide great views for those that don’t want to be jam packed!
What is Pixar Pier?
One of the most anticipated events of the year is the debut of Pixar Pier. Beginning June 23rd, guests can experience the re-imagined area formerly known as “Paradise Pier.” Here, you can experience the all-new Incredicoaster, four-themed neighborhoods, dining experiences, shopping and more.
The Incredicoaster which has replaced California Screamin’ will be full of thrills, excitement and adventure. On this attraction, you’ll be able to help Mr. and Mrs. Incredible on their mission to capture Jack-Jack. With surprises around every corner, everyone in the family is sure to love this ride.
You can also experience new dining options at Pixar Pier. New quick-service options like Poultry Palace, Angry Dogs, Señor Buzz Churros and Adorable Snowman Frosted Treats will be open to guests starting on June 23rd. However if you’re looking for a more unique dining experience, you’ll have to check out the Lamplight Lounge. While The Lamplight Lounge has taken over the guest-favorite Ariel’s Grotto and The Cove Bar, this casual dining experience won’t disappoint anyone who steps inside. This restaurant will include Pixar sketches, trinkets, and knick-knacks around every corner. The best part? It will continue to serve the world-famous Lobster Nachos!
In addition to all of the fun, you can experience four new neighborhoods themed after The Incredibles, Toy Story, Inside Out and a celebration of Pixar pals. There, you’ll be able to meet your favorite characters, play games on the boardwalk and shop at new stores throughout each land. Plus, you can hop on a newly re-imagined Mickey’s Fun Wheel which will now have themed gondolas representing each Pixar character from your favorite films.
