The Gaslight Music Hall’s Murder Mystery Dinner in Tucson

Amateur sleuths unite! Whether you want to try to solve a mystery or just want to be entertained, then you’ll definitely want to check out the Gaslight Music Hall’s murder mystery dinner in Tucson! That’s because the Gaslight Music Hall is currently playing Till Death Do Us Part - A Big Fat Murder Mystery, where guests can eat a delicious 3 course meal, interact with the performers, and help solve a mystery! I received complimentary tickets in exchange for a review of Till Death Do Us Part but as always, all opinions are my own. Keep reading for more information about my experience and what you can expect as a guest, as well as the opportunity to win two tickets to Till Death Do Us Part!

Could this be a clue?

The Gaslight Music Hall’s Murder Mystery Dinner in Tucson: Till Death Do Us Part - A Big Fat Murder Mystery

I love the variety of shows at the Gaslight Music Hall. Whether you want to relive the 80s or you want to dance to country music, the Gaslight Music Hall has you covered. Now you can add solving murder mysteries to the list! The Gaslight Music Hall has different themed murder mystery dinners throughout the year and I’ve wanted to attend one of the shows for a while now, but the timing never worked out. I had the opportunity, though, when the Gaslight Music Hall added matinees on select Saturdays for their current murder mystery show, Till Death Do Us Part - A Big Fat Murder Mystery! The theme? Murder at an Italian wedding reception. Till Death Do Us Part reminded me of a mixture between The Godfather and My Big Fat Greek Wedding and I loved every minute of it!

The setting? An Italian wedding reception.

Till Death Do Us Part is written by Gaslight Theatre performer Mike Yarema and he did a great job with the characters and the storyline. I expected to have a good time, but Till Death Do Us Part far exceeded my expectations, from the delicious food to the entertainment, which included singing by Wedding Guy Donny Bang (played by Charlie Hall who bears a great resemblance to Adam Sandler in the Wedding Singer). Even better? I was one of the guests who solved the murder (watch out, Nancy Drew).

A group photo of the guests who correctly solved the mystery, along with the performers!

You’ll definitely want to bring an appetite with you. Tickets to the show include a 3 course meal, beginning with salad. The main entree is lasagna, accompanied by breadsticks. My party and I ordered the meat lasagna, but veggie lasagna and gluten and dairy free pasta is also available. The dessert is the perfect ending to the show, and never fear - the Gaslight’s infamous popcorn also makes an appearance 🙂

Bring your appetite with you - tickets include a 3 course meal!

One of the things I really enjoyed about the Gaslight Music Hall’s murder mystery dinner in Tucson is the intimate setting and the fact that the guests can interact with the characters if they want to (those who prefer to just observe can definitely do so). We were introduced to characters like parents of the bride Carmine and Angela Romano (played by Jesus Limon and Jacqueline Stewart), bride Gina Romano (played by Erin Thompson), Maid of Honor Irene Ricci (played by Gabi Urias), groom Antonio Manchego (played by Adam Stricker), Uncle Vito/Detective Richard Tracy (played by Randall McDonald), and the Wedding Guys Donny Bang and Daniel “Sly” Slipetsky who plays the piano.

Charlie Hall as Donny Bang, the Wedding Guy, would be a hit at any wedding reception.

One of the characters is killed during the wedding reception and the big question is - whodunnit? During the show, some of the guests are handed clues and the characters will stop by the tables and interact with guests. I used the opportunity to ask the characters several questions and based on my interactions with them, I was able to deduce who the culprit was. At the end of the show, guests read the clues (handed to them by the characters) outloud, and then they are able to fill out a form with their name and their guess as to the murderer. The name of the murderer is then revealed, and the winning entries are entered in a drawing. The person who wins the drawing also wins a prize. I had a great time and I wouldn’t hesitate to attend another show. We were also told that the murderer isn’t always the same person just in case a guest decides to attend another performance of Till Death Do Us Part.

The performers all did a great job with their roles!

Here’s more information about Till Death Do Us Part:

The price of admission includes a delicious, three-course meal served right to your table. Prizes will be awarded to the guests that solve the crime! IS TILL DEATH DO US PART KID FRIENDLY?

I’d definitely get a babysitter so you can enjoy an afternoon or evening out without kids. Till Death Do Us Part is not scary by any means, but there is subject matter that is more suited for adults, especially the Not So New Newlywed Game which is played during the show. So you’ll want to leave the kids at home for this one.
