Snowland at Great Wolf Lodge Arizona

Happy Howl-idays from me and my wolf pack!  My family’s favorite indoor waterpark resort, Great Wolf Lodge, recently invited us to experience Snowland, Great Wolf Lodge’s annual holiday celebration.  Do you want to know the dates of Snowland and what it includes, as well as tips for meeting Santa?  If so, you’ll definitely want to read this article!

Snowland at Great Wolf Lodge Arizona

Great Wolf Lodge has several locations throughout the United States.  We’ve been to two different locations so far - Anaheim, California and Scottsdale, Arizona.  Known for its indoor waterpark and adventure park (including an amazing ropes course and rock climbing wall), Great Wolf Lodge also has several themed events throughout the year.  My family has previously visited during Halloween and my son loved trick or treating in the resort while wearing his Halloween costume.  This year, we had the opportunity to experience everything that the Great Wolf Lodge in Arizona has to offer for their guests during Snowland.  From November 18, 2022 through January 4, 2023, listed below are some of the highlights that guests can experience during Snowland, as part of their stay and at no additional cost!*

*To take advantage of everything Snowland has to offer, you’ll want to download the Great Wolf Lodge official app prior to arrival as well as obtain a copy of the Snowland Entertainment Schedule at check-in.

Holiday Decorations

There as several holiday decorations throughout the resort.  Our favorite?  A beautifully decorated Christmas tree in the Grand Lobby which sets the festive mood.  As the person who is usually the one taking photographs, I’m rarely in photos.  However, one of the employees graciously offered to take our family’s photo in front of the Christmas tree.  I recommend taking advantage of this photo opportunity.

Snowfall Celebration

At 5 pm, the Grand Lobby turns into a winter wonderland.  Kids are encouraged to participate in songs and dances as the staff sing and dance on stage. Once the singing is over, it begins to snow on the crowd below. It is a lot of snow and it looks very pretty coming down. But make sure you and your family shake it off your hair and clothes because of the Santa visit.  More about that below!

Santa Visit

During the snowfall, Santa makes an appearance!  Afterward, guests can have their photos taken with Santa.  I love that a photo with Santa is included as part of the stay at Great Wolf Lodge. Santa leads a march from the lobby to a ballroom after the snowfall so make sure you promptly follow him to avoid waiting in line.

Snowland Crafts at Camp H.O.W.L.

My family and I were able to participate in different holiday-themed arts and crafts throughout the day, while listening to holiday music in the background.  For example, in the morning, we made holiday-themed pins.  And in the afternoon, we were able to make a jingle bell craft. There’s also Snowland trivia in the morning as well as story time craft in the afternoon.  I definitely plan on keeping the crafts as momentos of our trip. The staff was very friendly and adults are encouraged to take part in the crafting!

My family and I had a wonderful time at the Great Wolf Lodge. Snowland is a blast and definitely helped us get into the holiday spirit. Along with all the other attractions and activities at the Great Wold Lodge, it is definitely a fun trip.
